Dr. K V S Hari is the Co-Founder of Esqube Communication Solutions Pvt. Ltd. and a Professor at the Department of ECE, Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore. His areas of research are Digital Signal Processing (DSP) with applications to wireless communication and array signal processing. He is currently interested in novel applications of Digital Wireless Technology to Wireless Sensor Networks and the 4G wireless communication systems using space-time signal processing concepts. He obtained his Ph.D from the Univ. of California, San Diego, and has been a visiting faculty at Stanford University, Royal Institute of Technology, Stockholm, Sweden and Helsinki University of Technology, Finland. He is a Member of the Editorial Board of EURASIP's Journal on Signal Processing, published by Elsevier.
He has been associated with IEEE standards groups and co-authored the IEEE 802.16 standard on Wireless Channel Models for Fixed Broadband Wireless Access Systems. He has been a consultant for NOKIA, SPRINT, Iospan Wireless, LG Soft, HFCL, Cranes Software, Bluefont Technologies and others. He was a member of the Due diligence team formed by SPRINT, USA, to evaluate vendor technologies for deploying WiMax services in the MMDS band of 2.5-2.7GHz (2000).
He has filed two patents on OFDM systems.
