His research interests are in Speech enhancement, Speech recognition, Speaker recognition, Keyword spotting, Speech compression, Audio effects, Audio compression and DSP architectures. He obtained his Ph.D from TIFR, Bombay and has been a visiting faculty at Norwegian Institute of Technology, Trondheim, Norway, Marquette University, Milwaukee, Fraunhofer Institute of Integrated Circuits., Erlangen, Germany and Griffith University, Brisbane, Australia.
